Four female researchers from the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague) have been successful in the first open call for RESTART return grants. The RESTART project aims to support researchers returning to their scientific careers after a long-term interruption, such as parental leave, long-term illness, or caring responsibilities.
Based on expert reviews and personal presentations, the evaluation committee selected the following projects:
- Ing. Soňa Hříbalová, Ph.D. , FCHT/107, KNN-based piezoelectric ceramics for anti-infective biomaterials: From bone implant applications to broader antimicrobial potential
- Valeriia Korolova, M.Sc., Ph.D., FTOP/228, Rehydrated MgAl hydrotalcites as efficient heterogeneous catalysts for Claisen-Schmidt condensation: a sustainable path to potent antitumor agents
- Ing. Alžběta Dostálková, Ph.D., FPBT/319, Molecular Determinants of Retroviral gRNA Selection: Dimerization, Intracellular Localization, and Polyprotein Recognition
- Ing. Eva Vaňková, Ph.D., FCHI/444, Plasma-Induced Control of Microbial Survival and Regrowth on 3DPrinted Gyroid Scaffolds
The grants are funded by the Jan Amos Komenský Operational Programme (OP JAK). We congratulate all the successful applicants and wish them every success as they return to their scientific careers at UCT Prague.
